In a place full of creativity and imagination, Bill Stos brings much needed order to Helvi’s Flower House. A graduate of Sudbury High School, Stos received a degree in business and psychology from the University of Western Ontario before earning a diploma in floriculture at Humber College. He and his wife Carol (daughter of Helvi and Bill Maki, the original owner) had been working in the shop for years before assuming full responsibility in 1977. Stos immediately set about modernizing the business. His favourite part of managing the store is working with a professional and trusted staff, and being able to put his ideas to work in order to create a smooth operation. He especially likes orange daisies.
